However, the company is now experimenting with the ability to set the key to open other programs and applications according to user preferences.
Windows 11 beta testers are the first to experience these exciting customization updates. According to the Windows Insider team, users will soon have the option to configure the Copilot key to launch an app that is MSIX packaged and signed. This ensures that the app meets stringent security and privacy requirements, guaranteeing a safe user experience. The Copilot key will continue to launch the Copilot app on devices with the app installed until a user chooses to assign a different function to the key.
